Couple Arrested for Downtown Mugging
Couple faces strong-arm robbery charges for purse-snatching.

Charleston Police have charged a couple in a strong-arm robbery that occurred in the area of King Street and Spring Street downtown in late June.
Kenneth Campbell, 42, and Natasha Richardson, 39, both of Dame Court, North Charleston, are charged with strong arm robbery, according to police spokesman Charles Francis.Â
They were being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center as of Wednesday morning.Â

The incident occurred while the victim was pushing her bicycle on King Street towards Spring Street, police allege. The alleged victim was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her purse. He then ran across a grass field and left in a vehicle that was parked on Spring Street.
