A string of well-known bars in the 200 block of E. Bay Street may have suffered damage early Tuesday morning when a large-scale fire broke out.
The fire broke out at 1 a.m., media reports indicate. The pink-brick building, which houses the bars, Squeeze, The Brick, and Club Light, was extensively damaged.
The fire may have spread to the Maritime Building and to Wet Willies, media reports indicate. Though patrons were inside the building at the time of the fire, there are no reported injuries.

Reports indicate there are several downtown street closures this morning as firefighters continue to battle a smoldering fire. Motorists should avoid E. Bay, if possible this morning.
