Flash Flood Warning Issued for Charleston County

The National Weather Service in Charleston issued a flash flood warning for central Charleston County until 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Areas in the warning zone stretch from Isle of Palms to Ravenel. Rain as heavy as 2-3 inches per hour are expected. Additionally high tide will hit shortly after 5 p.m., making the evening rush hour potentially more hazardous.

Flooding threats exist in Downtown Charleston, Mount Peasant, around Charles Towne Landing, West Ashley, Isle of Palms and Ravenel.
