HGTV Designer & Local Raises Money for Lung Health

While no stranger to the public eye, Mary Welch Fox Stasik is ecstatic to be taking the stage as a performer in this year’s American Lung Association’s Lip Sync for Lungs Live Battle VI on March 10th. This unique, action-packed event features four local celebrities, in a wildly entertaining setting that raises funds to provide lung health programs in South Carolina and lung disease research.

“It has been many late nights and hard work but one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I could do this a million times! Several years ago, I lost a dear friend to complications from cystic fibrosis and last year, I lost my grandfather to COVID-19. Knowing that I’m helping to raise money to fund lung disease research, makes this experience even more worthwhile for me.”

Fox Stasik’s passion and enthusiasm shines throughout every aspect of her life. While family is Fox Stasik’s first priority, Fox Stasik also balances being host of HGTV’s show ‘Breaking Bland’ and managing her local full-service interior design business. Fox Stasik’s design philosophy focuses on “helping people make design choices that trigger their senses and turn a space into something they love,” shares Fox Stasik.

Just a week away from the pre-taped performance at Firefly Distillery, Fox Stasik radiates excitement as she shares why everyone should attend Lip Sync for Lungs. “This event is such a creative way to raise money for lung disease research and to see members of our own community out of their comfort zone having a blast!”

Money raised from Lip Sync for Lungs Live Battle VI will fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics.

Lip Sync For Lungs Live Battle VI, presented by Audi Charleston, will take place March 10th at Firefly Distillery. Tickets are $40 and includes admission to the 7 p.m. show.
