- The High Tide Music & Arts Festival is coming back to Riverfront Park in North Charleston on Jun. 3 for its second year. The festival will feature the High Tide City Market showcasing local vendors and designers, as well as a Food & Beverage Garden offering bites from food trucks. Attendees can expect a day filled with music, art, and food. (CHStoday)
- The International African American Museum has scheduled the public opening of the museum for Tuesday, Jun. 27. In the days leading up to the launch, there will be various community events, including an opening ceremony on Jun. 24. Visitors can look forward to experiencing the museum's exhibits and programs that celebrate African American history and culture. (Charleston Regional Business)
- The Charleston Police Department (CPD) has apprehended an individual in relation to an assault that occurred at a West Ashley gas station on Monday. When a CPD officer arrived at the 7-Eleven gas station on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, he noticed several individuals fleeing the store. A man with a minor cut on his eyebrow claimed that he had been pistol-whipped, and the suspect's car was later located and stopped by the police. (WCBD News 2)

- Charleston County School District (CCSD) would like to highlight Katie Bilsback, a Head Start teacher at the Mary Ford Early Learning and Family Center in Summerville. She obtained her Early Childhood Education degree from the College of Charleston and is pursuing a master's degree in education with a focus on special education from Clemson University. - Sergeant Staggers has joined Serve & Connect as they were presented with a donation from "Heroes Home Advantage." This donation will help the department and others across the state to expand their reach within the community and offer support to those in need, allowing officers to call on Serve & Connect for assistance.
