Johns Island Man Charged in Child Porn Case

A week after a James Island man was charged in connection with a child pornography investigation, a second Charleston area man faces similar charges.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office working with Homeland Security Investigations agents charged another Charleston area man in connection with child pornography Thursday.

Horace L. Crosby Jr., 41, of 3893 Mary Ann Point Road Johns Island is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor 2nd degree and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor 3rd degree, according to a CCSO statement.

Deputies and HSI agents served warrants against Crosby at his home shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday. The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation, according to the statement.

Crosby is scheduled for a bond hearing at 10 a.m. Friday.

The arrest came exactly a week after the Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security filed similar charges against 70-year-old Richard Thaddeus Pokryfka of James Island.
