Over the weekend, the American Lung Association in South Carolina hosted the 6th annual Lip Sync For Lungs-Lipstock Edition, presented by Audi Charleston, and Kyle β€œK’Otic” Johnson took home the Battle Champion trophy after his stunning performance of a mix of Imagine Dragons raising more than $20,000 through community support and donations. Overall, the event raised more than $115,000.

The event featured local celebrities who performed choreographed lip sync and routines in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. Johnson, works locally for EventWorks, the southeast’s largest event rental provider. However, Johnson is also a break dancer, stunt artist and in 2017, he competed on American Ninja Warrior and was a crowd favorite. His contagious energy and encouragement of others have made this super athlete an everyday hero.

β€œThe outdoor festival - themed event at Firefly Distillery was such a welcomed breath of fresh air for everyone that attended. As a result, we saw a tremendous outpouring of support and participation from the local community,” said Margaret Ann Youngs, Senior Development Manager for the Lung Association. β€œThank you to all of our participants and sponsors who came together to make a difference in the lives of people facing lung disease, lung cancer and COVID-19.”
