A tourist in town from Kentucky was robbed at gunpoint on Queen Street after midnight Thursday. The 46-year-old victim told police two men approached him on the block of Queen Street between Church and Meeting streets and stole his wallet and iPhone. One of the men was armed with a handgun, according to a Charleston Police Department report. The wallet contained $40 cash and four credit cards belonging to the victim. The iPhone is valued at $400. The armed robbery took place outside of 47 Queen Street. The victim then walked to the Cumberland Street parking garage and contacted Charleston Police through the booth teller, according to the report. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 554-1111 or Charleston Police at 577-7434.
