  1. The Charleston Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a missing 31-year-old, Britteny Church. She was reported missing by a friend on Mar. 16 and was last seen in downtown Charleston's Lockwood Drive area. Church is suspected to be traveling on foot and may be experiencing mental health issues. Anyone with information about Church's whereabouts is asked to call (843) 743-7200. (WCBD News 2)
  2. Officials have revealed that thousands of gallons of sewage spilled into a creek on James Island following a sewer main break reported on Mar. 8. A fisherman alerted Charleston Water System to the spill and crews were able to stop it by 12:30 p.m. that same day. While an estimated 9,600 gallons of wastewater was spilled, the total volume cannot be determined as it is unknown when the break occurred. Crews are currently repairing the broken main, with work expected to be completed in the coming weeks. (WCBD News 2)
  3. Charleston Police have arrested 19-year-old Jaylen Isaiah Smith who allegedly broke into a residence and committed robbery with a deadly weapon. The incident took place on Friday, Mar. 17, when according to the victims, two Black males armed with handguns broke into a house on Cooper Street, stealing several items. The victims reported the incident to the police, who were able to locate and apprehend Smith the following day. (ABC NEWS 4)
