- Tomorrow, Jan. 24, the 24th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Portrait Awards will be held at the Charleston Music Hall. This year's theme is "Learning From the Past to Make Progress Into the Future." Starting at 11:00 a.m., the ceremony will honor community leaders. (ABC News 4)
- Popular Charleston Mexican restaurant "3 Matadors Tequileria" at 2447 Ashley River Road, will reopen tomorrow, Jan. 24, as "No Bull Burger Bar," specializing in burgers, fries, and chicken tenders. The owners told taco-lovers not to worry, as they will "still be able to get those delicious tacos when we reopen 3 Matadors Tequileria in a new location at the end of the year." (Live 5 News)
- Old South Carriage Company in downtown Charleston is celebrating its anniversary this month. The family-owned business has been giving historic Charleston tours for 40 years.
