- Ivonna Hughes, 32, of Charleston, is facing charges of DUI, child endangerment, and possession of marijuana after being stopped by police on Sunday evening with her young daughter in the car. Hughes was driving erratically and nearly collided with another vehicle before being stopped by a Charleston police officer. Police found what they believed to be marijuana and alcohol in Hughes' possession and she reportedly refused to provide a breath sample. (ABC NEWS 4)
- A Hanahan man, Tristan McGill, was killed in a shooting in nearby North Charleston, where another man was left injured. The incident occurred at the Stayover Lodge on McMillan Avenue, where police found the two victims after responding to a report of gunshots. The North Charleston Police Department is still investigating the case, but there is evidence to suggest that the two adult males were shooting at each other. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Charleston is hosting the Small Business Opportunity Expo 2023 on Mar. 31 at the Gaillard Center.
