- Two people are now without a home following a structure fire that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in nearby North Charleston. The North Charleston Fire Department responded to the home on High Maple Circle Drive around 1:30 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the roof. The fire was located in the attic area and was quickly extinguished. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced individuals. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Nikki Haley, former South Carolina Governor, gave her first official remarks yesterday in Charleston after announcing her bid for the presidency on Twitter on Tuesday. After the "official" announcement in Charleston, Haley was on her way to New Hampshire for two town hall meetings. South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said, "I am certain that South Carolina’s Nikki Haley will be competitive in the race for the presidency." (WTMA)
- Diedrich Grant of Mount Pleasant is facing charges of assault, resisting arrest, and giving false information to police after a traffic stop in North Charleston. Grant was a passenger in a black Chrysler 300 that was stopped on Monday night by police after a disturbance involving firearms was reported at Ritz Bar and Grill. The man became aggressive with officers and gave a fake name. Grant has court date is set for Mar. 16. (Live 5 News WCSC)

- A new TV station has added Charleston to its roster. Channels now available from Digital Networks, LLC include The Heartland Network, Retro TV, Rev’n, The Action Channel, and The Family Channel. (Holy City Sinner)
