Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. Kendale Gadis, 23, and Jaylin Brown, 21, were arrested at Charleston International Airport on Sunday. A narcotics investigation led to Gadis being charged with trafficking marijuana and Brown being charged with unlawful carry. Gadis went to the airport on Sunday to pick up luggage which is what prompted an internal investigation around 10:30 a.m. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. New street parking rules will be in effect beginning Feb. 9 on King Street as part of the Charleston Police Department's safety plan. Street parking will be prohibited from 6:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. between Spring and John streets. This rule only applies to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Towing enforcement will be in effect. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal has identified the man in the single motorcycle crash on Monday morning in Johns Island. Zane Taylor, 26, was reportedly speeding on Old Pon Road when he went off the road and hit a tree in the early hours of the morning. Bystanders were performing CPR on Taylor, but he was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. (Live 5 News WCSC)
