The Charleston Museum and Lowcountry Land Trust are pursuing Greenbelt and conservation funding to preserve the 700-acre wildlife refuge, historic cemeteries, and Civil War sites, while limiting future development and infrastructure needs along Riverland Drive and the Stono River.
