North Charleston police investigate use of force against man at area car wash (postandcourier.com) — North Charleston police are reviewing an officer’s takedown of a 20-year-old man at a Tanger Outlet Boulevard car wash after a brief, silent video of the arrest spread online. The man, charged with public intoxication and held at Charleston County jail on an ICE detainer, is the latest in a string of recorded use-of-force incidents as the department emphasizes bias training and outreach to Hispanic residents.
   

2. The partnership will streamline documentation, enhance communication, and give MUSC nursing students hands-on experience with tools they’ll use on the job, with systems eventually deployed across facilities statewide.
   

4. Graham introduces bill to help South Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene (abcnews4.com) — From Charleston, Sen. Lindsey Graham is pushing a bipartisan bill to speed up Hurricane Helene recovery and cut energy costs in hard‑hit South Carolina communities. The proposal would let utilities use unused tax credits to rebuild damaged power infrastructure in disaster zones, with promised long‑term savings for ratepayers.
