Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued

Expect severe thunderstorms with strong winds, torrential rains and quarter sized hail until 2:45 p.m. today.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of Charleston and Dorchester counties until 2:45 p.m. Monday.

Areas affected by the warning are Hollywood, Johns Island, Meggett, Ravenel, Shadowmoss, Wadmalaw Island and Yonges Island.

Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm moving east at 15 mph. Local flooding of low-lying areas is expected.
