  1. Destiny Palmer, 18, is facing charges after assaulting a Charleston County Sheriff's Office deputy during a traffic stop on Highway 78 on Sunday. She was charged with assaulting a police officer while resisting arrest and obstructing justice. Palmer attempted to run away and led a deputy on a short foot pursuit before kicking the deputy in the chest. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. Dayna Yvette Smalls, a medical staff contractor at Al Cannon Detention Center, was arrested for attempting to furnish contraband at the jail. She was charged with four counts of furnishing contraband and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office investigated contraband reports which revealed marijuana, cigarettes, rolling papers, and prescription medicine. (WCBD News 2)
  3. Marcellis Hart, a FedEx employee at the North Charleston shipping center, was arrested on Monday for stealing several packages. The packages contained Apple and Samsung products valued at a total of $34,708. Through an internal investigation, a FedEx security agent concluded that Hart was pulling packages off of a conveyor belt, not scanning them, and putting them in his truck. (ABC NEWS 4)
