2 Injured in Columbia Shooting
Columbia Police are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting that caused two people to be taken to to a local hospital.
Two men were hospitalized after a shooting in the Lyon Street community Monday afternoon, the Columbia Police Department announced.
A group of people were at the intersection of King and Bratton streets around 3 p.m. when a dark-colored, 4-door sedan traveling south on Bratton drove by.
Someone inside the vehicle, which was occupied by three or four people, fired a gun at the group, police said.

One person was shot in the head and the other victim was shot in the leg, , according to a release. Both men were taken to a local hospital and are recovering.
Columbia Police continue to investigate the incident.
