B2K and Bow Wow Announce 2026 'Boys 4 Life Tour' Dates (wtlcfm.com) — Columbia will host the kickoff of B2K and Bow Wow’s 2026 “Boys 4 Life Tour” at Colonial Life Arena on February 12, 2026, bringing a big dose of early-2000s nostalgia downtown. The reunited R&B and hip-hop stars are promising deep cuts, special guests, and new music tied to the tour.
   

2. Columbia white man faces federal hate crime charges in alleged shooting (thestate.com) — Federal prosecutors in Columbia have indicted a white Spring Valley resident on hate crime and firearms charges after a Black neighbor was allegedly shot at while jogging near their gated community. The case, first pursued by Richland County deputies under a new county hate-crimes ordinance, is being handled by the FBI’s Columbia office and U.S. attorneys in South Carolina.

South Carolina Lottery Powerball, Pick 3 results for Dec. 17, 2025 (greenvilleonline.com) — Columbia residents who played the South Carolina Education Lottery on Dec. 17 can now check the winning Powerball, Pick 3, Pick 4, Cash Pop, and Palmetto Cash 5 numbers. The article also details how to claim prizes, including mailing smaller wins to the Columbia PO Box and visiting the Assembly Street headquarters for jackpots over $100,000.

SCDOT to hold public hearing on proposed I-26 corridor improvements (wltx.com) — Columbia-area drivers who use I-26 may want to weigh in on a major upgrade project between mile markers 145 and 172 in Orangeburg and Dorchester counties. SCDOT will hold a public hearing January 8, 2026, and residents can review documents at the District 1 office on Shop Road in Columbia or submit comments online, by mail, or email through January 23.
