Shawn Eric Moody Jr., 19, and 17-year-old Tyquan Marquise Williams are both charged with two counts of attempted murder, the Columbia Police Department announced Friday.

Three teens are facing charges of attempted murder in connection with the shooting of two males near the Melrose Heights neighborhood in early June.

Shawn Eric Moody Jr., 19, and 17-year-old Tyquan Marquise Williams are both charged with two counts of attempted murder, the Columbia Police Department announced Friday.

A 15-year-old is also charged in connection with the case, according to a release.

The three are accused of shooting two males from inside of a car at the 1100 block of King and Bratton streets on June 10.

One victim was shot in the head and the other was shot in the leg, police said. Both were treated and released from a local hospital.

Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a previous fight involving gang members, according to the release.

The suspects are all documented gang members, police said, and are accused of targeting another individual at the scene.
