In March 1972, Beatrice Anderson Riley was abducted from her Harlem Street home and her body was found a couple of weeks later on Atlas Road. 2. A former Columbia Police Chief has passed away at the age of 53. Former Chief, Randy Scott, was found dead in his home at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. There were no signs of foul play but an autopsy is set to be conducted soon. Scott served as interim chief and chief of the Columbia Police Department from 2010 until he stepped down in 2013 citing struggles with PTSD. (WIS News 10)
