Amazon Shipment Ransacked at St. Andrews Post Office

Between New Year's Eve and Jan. 2, numerous packages from Amazon were opened illegally at 1120 Briargate Circle.

Some late Christmas presents or early 2013 gifts did not make their appointed shipment dates after someone ransacked a shipment from Amazon at the St. Andrews Post Office.

According to a Richland County Sheriff's Department report, "numerous" packages on three pallets from Amazon were opened and possibly stolen between New Year's Eve and Jan. 2 at 1120 Briargate Circle in Columbia near Interstate 20 and Broad River Road.

At the time the incident report was filed, there was no estimated value of the missing items.
