Berkeley GOP Chair Steps Down to Endorse Larry Grooms in SC1
Second time Callanan has stepped down to endorse a candidate.

Berkeley County GOP Chair Tim Callanan has resigned his position to support the candidacy of Sen. Larry Grooms for South Carolina's First Congressional District seat.
It's the second time Callanan has stepped down so he could back a candidate. He supported Rick Santorum for President last year. Callanan will also serve as Grooms' campaign manager.
Callanan was quoted on Grooms' Facebook page saying, "This seat is too important to the state of South Carolina. And I've decided to take time out my personal life to ensure we have the strongest conservative representing us in the district."
