Here are the top three stories in Columbia today:
- Officials have identified a body found in the Columbia woods as that of Columbia man, Devin Alan Herlong. The 42-year-old was discovered Saturday, Feb. 12, and identified Tuesday, Feb. 15. Authorities said they found no evidence of foul play. (The State)
- The South Carolina State Fair is awarding scholarships to high school seniors. It will be distributing fifty $6,000 scholarships to students across the state. The Columbia organization is giving grants based on academic and extracurricular achievement, communication skills, and application. (WACH.com)
- Columbia was ranked as a “car-dependent city” based on Walk Score's walkability meter. The city scored 35 out of 100 on walk score which is based on the walkability of an address based on pedestrian-friendliness and access to businesses. It has the same rating for cyclists. (COLAtoday)
