Here are the top three stories in Columbia today:
- A boil water advisory has been set for Richland County, including Columbia. The advisory was put in place after Columbia Water experienced an 8-inch main break which could result in bacteria contaminating water sources. Columbia Water officials are asking customers to vigorously boil their water for one minute before using it to drink or cook. (WACH.com)
- There was a heavy law enforcement presence at the Colony Apartments Tuesday morning as police were searching for a man wanted on multiple charges. The man is wanted for gun-related crimes, though officials did not want to jeopardize the search by revealing his identity. Law enforcement has not expanded the search beyond the apartment complex. - Gas prices in Colombia are back on the rise. According to GasBuddy, the average price per gallon in Colombia rose nearly three cents to $2.95. The cheapest gas prices in the area were in the Midlands at $2.79. (Abccolumbia.com)
