Columbia Board Could Vote on Whitney Hotel Zoning Request

A Midlands company is seeking approval to turn the Whitney Hotel into an apartment building.

The Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals could vote Tuesday on a zoning request to turn the Whitney Hotel into an apartment building.

Estates Properties Inc. is seeking approval to change zoning for the 75-unit hotel located at 700 Woodrow Street, according to a report from The State.

The building would have the same number of apartments as units, according to the report.
