Here are the top three stories in Columbia today:
- The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce says that more people are getting back to work. The statewide unemployment rate is down from 3.5 to 3.4 percent. Read the full report at the link. (Abccolumbia.com)
- The new Tax Modernization Committee unveiled its plan to cut commercial and rental property taxes over the next ten years. The city seeks to lower the tax burden in order to spur economic development in Columbia. The next Committee meeting will be held Tuesday, May 3. (WLTX.com)
