🌱 Columbia Gang Member Sentenced + 2 Vaccine Clinics

1. A gang member from Columbia was sentenced to over 12 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to firearm charges. 27-year-old Dashawn Terrell Swygert pled guilty to two counts of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition. Sqygert sold stolen weapons to underground ATF agents leading to his arrest. (Press Release Desk)
2. The city of Columbia is partnering with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental to host two vaccine clinics this week. The first clinic will be on Tuesday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Drew Wellness Center. The second clinic will be on Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Hyatt Park. (Abccolumbia.com)
3. Azalea Coffee Bar saw its business pick up after pleading for support on Instagram. Like other small businesses, the coffee shop had been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Shop owner Brittany Koester made a post on Instagram stating her situation and asked patrons for support. (WLTX.com)
