Columbia Police Search for 'Person of Interest' in Colony Apartments Shootout

Columbia Police need help locating a man who they say is a "person of interest" in the shooting at the Colony Apartments earlier this week.

Columbia Police are looking for a man who they say is a "person of interest" in a shooting that ended with a 4-year-old girl being struck by a stray bullet.

Investigators believe 20-year-old Laquan Lamont Natt has information on the shooting that occurred Monday night at the Colony Apartments off of West Beltline Boulevard.

City Police say Natt should be considered armed and dangerous.

One suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Police arrested Marcus Sinclaire Gantt, 21, Wednesday afternoon

Gantt is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful carrying of a pistol.

Natt is also a suspect in an armed robbery on the 1500 block of Bailey Street.

Police say Natt and several unknown individuals robbed and assaulted four people around 3 a.m. on June 18. The suspects allegedly stole clothes, money, wallets, phones and car keys from the victims.

The suspects are also accused of stealing a vehicle form the victims. The vehicle was found later that evening, according to the department.

Once captured, Natt will be charged with four counts of armed robbery, kidnapping, first-degree assault and battery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Columbia Police continue to investigate the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident or Natt's whereabouts should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
