Columbia Police Seek Owner of $20k in Crack Cocaine

Warrants were announced Wednesday after a find.

A Columbia man is sought and another has been arrested after city police found a half-pound of crack cocaine valued at $19,500.

Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott announced the Drug Suppression Team (DST) found the drugs and has an outstanding arrest warrant for Theodore V. Mosby, 37, according to a press release. 

 A Crimestoppers tip led Officers to the 5000 block of Middleton Street today.

DST received verbal and written consent to search the residence, including Mosby’s vehicle that was parked in the driveway.

Mosby was not at the residence. Officers found the narcotics after a thorough search of the vehicle.

Officers also seized the vehicle.

After finding a small amount of marijuana inside the residence, Derrick Stinson, 40, was arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana.

All persons charged/arrested are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Chief Scott encourages citizens with information about Mosby’s whereabouts to call, text or submit online, their anonymous tip to Crimestoppers in any of the following ways:

Tipsters could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
