Columbia Police Suspect Foul Play After Body Found

The man's body was located on the side of the road near the intersection of Center and McFadden streets.

Columbia Police say they suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was found Thursday morning on the side of a road.

According to preliminary information, a passerby discovered the body and called 911, according to a news release. The man’s body was located on the side of the road near the intersection of Center and McFadden streets shortly after 8 a.m.  

Investigators suspect foul play in the man’s death and continue to follow up on leads.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office is assisting CPD with the case.
