Deputies Arrest 3 in Burglary at Hopkins Church
Three suspects were arrested in connection with a burglary at Horell Hill Baptist Church in Hopkins.
Three people were arrested after they allegedly stole an air conditioning unit from Horell Hill Baptist Church in Hopkins on Aug. 22, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies responded to a burglary at Horell Hill Baptist Church, two men ran into the woods and a woman attempted to leave the scene in a stolen truck.
Deputies arrested the three suspects identified as 33-year-old Gregory Skinner, Danny Skinner, 26, and Melea Walker, 45.

Deputies found parts of an ac unit in the stolen truck, according to the release.
Gregory Skinner is charged with obtaining non-ferrous metals unlawfully. He is also charged with first-degree burglary, grand larceny and malicious injury to real property. Gregory Skinner was wanted in connection to several burglaries and larcenies in Lower Richland and is wanted in Calhoun County for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the sheriff’s department.

Danny Ray Skinner, Gregory’s cousin, is charged with obtaining non-ferrous metals unlawfully. Danny is also wanted in Coryell County, Texas for a controlled substance violation, the department said.
Walker, the girlfriend of one of the men, is charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
All three suspects are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
