Here are the top three stories today in Columbia:
- A lab at the University of South Carolina is working to identify autism in infants. The lab director says that early intervention is important for maximizing developmental outcomes for those on the autism spectrum. Researchers at the lab follow infants through their first two years to better understand how to identify and accommodate autistic children. (WBTW)
- Looking for work? Local plumbing company Meetze Plumbing, located about 20 minutes outside of Columbia, is looking to fill ten positions for their summer apprenticeship program. The company will pay for new employees' equipment and training, as well as provide benefits. (ColaDaily.com)
- The Richland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting that left two dead just off Decker Boulevard in Columbia. Officers were called after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning following the shooting and found three victims who had been shot. One victim is in the hospital. (WLTX.com)
