
On Monday, the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce announced that 16 offices in rural countiues will be closing. 75 people will lose their jobs.
Spokesperson Adrienne Fairwell told South Carolina Radio News that people who utilize those offices will have to go to a neighboring county or file claims online.
Fairwell said the affected offices were open a few days a week or for limited hours. A list is below:

The agency said that the closure are a result of a loss of federal funds due to the state's declining unemployment rate.
