Here are the top three stories in Columbia today:
- A Columbia man has died after being found shot in a car at an apartments complex in Forest Acres. Brandon Vandyk was taken to the hospital and died there from his wounds. Police are currently searching for the shooter or shooters. (The State)
- Emergency repairs at the 1136 Washington Street City of Columbia building have caused licensing and planning services to move. For now, licensing and planning services for businesses will be at Payment Center at 3000 Harden Street. Columbia citizens who are looking to apply for permits within the City's Planning and Development Services are encouraged to apply online. (WLTX.com)
- Lakeview, a new all-inclusive independent lifestyle retirement community in Columbia for adults 55 and over, began moving in residents on Feb. 1. The building offers 128 apartments for rent. There are still apartments available for older adults who wish to apply. (Columbia Star)
