Fourth of July Closings

The following offices will be closed Thursday: 

Government

• Federal offices
• State offices
• Richland County offices
• Lexington County offices
• The town of Irmo offices
• The town of Lexington offices
• City of Columbia offices 
• The S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles

Banks

Many banks and credit unions will be closed Monday. Please check with your local branch.

Services

• Post offices
• All Richland County Recreation Commission facilities. The LinRick golf course will be open.
• Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission
• All branches of the Lexington County Public Library system will be closed. 
• All Richland County Public Library locations will be closed. 

Trash Collection/Recycling Centers

• Town of Lexington: Solid waste and recycling collection will run on a delayed schedule: Thursday collection will be picked up Friday and Friday to Saturday. 
  
• City of Columbia: Garbage and recyclable collection will be on the regular schedule.
• Richland County: Residential solid waste collection will be suspended on Thursday. Thursday’s route will be picked up on Friday and Friday’s route will be picked up on Saturday. The landfill and Lower Richland Drop-off Center will be closed Thursday.
