Event: Fourth of July Celebration at Lake Murray

Location: Lake Murray
Details: The boat parade begins around 12 p.m. at Bomb Island. Spectators can watch from the parks on the Lexington and Irmo sides of the dam or on their boats. Fireworks will be launched at 9 p.m. from Spence Island and Dreher Island.

Event: Fort Jackson's Fourth of July Celebration & 'Torchlight Tattoo'

Location: Hilton Field at Fork Jackson, 10000 Lee Road, Columbia, SC
Details: The evening will include a cannon salute to each state and territory, music by the 282nd Army "Victory" Band, and, of course, fireworks. The field opens at 4 pm and the Tattoo begins at approximately 9 pm. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, but bleacher, grandstand seating will be available.

Details: Enjoy a day of inflatable rides, free concerts and a fireworks show at 9:30pm. Balloon art, glitter tattoos, a car show by the Wildhorses Mustang Car Club, and exhibits by the Richland County Sheriff's Department are also planned. All of the day's activities are free and open to the public.
