Haley to Campaign in NC on Wednesday
Returns to northern neighbors for another round of campaigning.

Gov. Nikki Haley will return to North Carolina to campaign tomorrow. Her last appearance in the Tar Heel State was during the Democratic Convention when, along with Rep. Tim Scott, she criticized Pres. Barack Obama's handling of the economy.
But on Wednesday, Haley will not be campaigning on behalf of Mitt Romney (or against Barack Obama). She'll be with the GOP candidate for governor of North Carolina, Pat McRory, in Fayetteville. McRory was a long time mayor of Charlotte and ran for governor in 2008, narrowly losing to Democrat Bev Perdue.
This time around, McRory is facing lieutenant governor Walter Dalton and polls have shown him with a solid lead, ranging from six to sixteen percentage points. But in a normally red state that went blue in 2008, nothing can be taken for granted. According to Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey, “When we face challenges with the federal government, we need to know we have a governor in North Carolina who will have our back, not fight against us.”
