Limehouse Gathers Slew of Late Endorsements in SC1 Race
Edwards and Livingston to support Charleston rep's House bid.

The campaign of Rep. Chip Limehouse announced today that he had been endorsed by several former and current officials in his pursuit of the GOP nomination for the First Congressional District.
Most notably, former Gov. Jim Edwards, Maj. Gen. James Livingston (Ret.), and Rep. Tommy Hartnett will back Limehouse.
Edwards was the first Republican governor of the Palmetto State after Reconstruction, leading the state from 1975-1979.

Livingston is one of the most decorated military men in US history. He was awarded the Medal of Honor and Silver Star, among many other accolades, for his heroism.
Hartnett represented SC1 in Congress from 1981-1987.

- Billy Swails - Mayor of Mount Pleasant.
- Minnie Blackwell - Mayor of Hanahan.
- Burley Lyons - Mayor of Edisto Beach.
- Riley Bradham - Mayor of Rockville.
- Henry Chambers - Former Mayor of Beaufort.
- Councilman Joel Hodges - Hanahan.
