Man, 19, Charged in Stabbing at Five Points Bar

Police say a man hid inside Sharky's bar and attacked two employees Tuesday.

Columbia Police arrested a 19-year-old accused of stabbing an employee at a Five Points bar early Tuesday morning.

Barry Hale Hunter is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and possession of a weapon in the commission of a violent crime.

Police say the man was hiding inside Sharky’s bar located at 636 Harden Street around 1:45 a.m., after the business had closed. The suspect allegedly attacked two off duty employees with a serrated knife.

One of the victims was stabbed in the lower abdomen and transported to Palmetto Health Richland. The other victim was not injured.
