Man, 24, Charged in Shooting at Devine Street Applebee's

Columbia Police arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a Devine Street restaurant Wednesday night.

Washington is also expected to be charged with discharging a firearm in city limits, Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said.

Police say Washington was one of at least two people in the parking lot of the Applebees located at 4505 Devine Street.
Officers have not found any victims and there is no evidence that anyone was hurt.

The weapon Washington allegedly had during the shooting has been recovered, Timmons said.
Columbia Police are still trying to identify any additional suspects and a motive for the shooting.
