Columbia Police have charged a man with the murder of a 37-year-old <a href="https://columbia-sc.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/columbia-police-suspect-foul-play-after-body-found">whose body was found on the side of a Richland County road</a> on Sept. 12. Kenny Edward Goree, 41, is accused of shooting and killing <a href="https://columbia-sc.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/coroner-man-found-dead-on-richland-county-road-was-shot">Samuel S. Clemons</a> of Columbia. Clemons' body was found by a passerby at the 2400 block of Center Street on Sept. 12.  Investigators think the shooting occurred between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 11. A motive for the shooting is still being investigated. Goree is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

A 41-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Columbia man on Sept. 11.
