Here are the top two stories today in Columbia:

  1. Donald D. Wheeler, Jr. died after being struck by another car on early Sunday morning on Leesburg Road at Newell Road Sunday. The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Columbia Police Department are working to investigate the scene. There were no other deaths. (WIS10)
  2. The Bell Memorial Baptist Church was vandalized over the winter holiday. The church, which was closed due to COVID, suffered busted windows, BB pellets in walls, and items tipped over. Volunteers have offered to help with the repairs. There have been no suspects yet. (WLTX.com)
