Here are the top two stories in Columbia today:

  1. At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, Columbia’s new mayor in three new City Council members took their seats for the first time. Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, and new council members Tina Herbert, Joe Taylor, and Dr. Aditi Bussells we're in attendance for the first time since they were elected and at the first meeting of the year. During the meeting, the promise to bring more small businesses to Columbia was a prominent subject. (WLTX.com)
  2. Columbia police are investigating multiple breakings and home invasions that were reported in the Earlewood neighborhood. Security camera videos so teenagers breaking into these homes in stealing goods. Currently, investigators do not have any suspects. (WLTX.com)
