1. City leaders commemorated the groundbreaking at a new affordable housing development yesterday. The Columbia Housing authority marked the beginning of construction at Saint Anna's Park in hopes to provide affordable opportunities for Columbia families to find a home. 2. A first-grade teacher at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School was named Lower School Teacher of the Year for the South Carolina Independent School Association. Catherine Barnhill received praise from administrators at a banquet earlier this month. Ms. Barnhill cited her teaching philosophy in guiding her to success as a teacher. (Columbia Star)
3. Police are looking for a suspect in a home invasion. Quindelle Tyquan Dozier broke into a home on Pioneer Drive earlier this year and has been identified as the suspect, according to police.
