Nikki Haley Praises MLK, Proclaims Day of Service in His Honor

Governor says January 21st will be a 'Day of Service' in South Carolina.

On Tuesday morning, Gov. Nikki Haley was the featured speaker at the Columbia Urban League’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Breakfast. The event took place at the Brookland Baptist Church Banquet and Conference Center.

Haley's full remarks can be seen in the accompanying video. She declared next Monday, the 21st, which is already a state holiday, a 'Day of Service.' The Proclamation is attached to this story.

Tomorrow, Haley will deliver her second State of the State Address tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
