One Killed in Crash Near I-26
An 18-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday.

The Richland County Coroner's Office has released the name of a person who was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Interstate 26 on Thursday.
Brittany Kaie-Ashanti Booker, 18, of Columbia, was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle that crashed on I-126 near exit 108A around 11:35 a.m. Thursday, Coroner Gary Watts said.
The driver was attempting to get onto the Columbia downtown exit off of I-26 westbound and lost control of the vehicle, Watts said.

The vehicle left the roadway and overturned, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle, he said.
Booker was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. An autopsy conducted Friday showed Booker died from trauma associated with the crash, according to the coroner's office.
