Construction on a new eatery in Columbia is underway on Devine Street.
PDQ, a fast casual restaurant, is scheduled to open in the fall on the site of a former Burger King next to the Gamecock Bi-Lo and across the street from Whole Foods.
PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) specializes in hand-breaded chicken tenders, hand-tossed salads, sandwiches, fresh cut fries and hand spun milkshakes and malts, according to its website.
