Update: Justice, a 10-week-old St. Bernard puppy stolen from Pets Inc. on July 8, has been found, according to the pet adoption center's Facebook page.
Original story: A 10-week-old puppy was stolen from the Pets Inc. adoption center in West Columbia last week, the organization announced Monday.
Justice, a St. Bernard mix, was taken from the center at 5:20 p.m. on July 8. In a surveillance video released by the animal shelter, three people are seen removing the dog from his pen and walking out of the center.
Justice is one of two puppies stolen from the center. A 6-week-old puppy was stolen on July 9 but has since been returned, according to a post on the organization's Facebook page.
"The pup is fine," according to the post. "The woman who took the dog left a statement of explanation for the (Lexington County) Sheriff's deputy. We will give that to him tomorrow. We can't comment on what will happen from there."
Justice is microchipped.
