Photo ID for Voting Required in January
A notice was sent out to voters who did not register through having a South Carolina driver's license.

Those who registered to vote using another state's ID and proof of South Carolina residency will now be required to use a photo ID from the state in order to vote.
A notice was sent to voters who registered without a photo ID informing them of the upcoming change. The new requirements begin in 2013.
According to the notice, voters will be asked to provide one of the following IDs:

- South Carolina driver's license
- South Carolina ID card issued by the DMV
- South Carolina Voter Registraton Card with photo
- Federal Military ID
- US Passport
